About cookies

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used across our website, https://authenticateme.xyz/, dashboard, and verification page, and how you can control them. It originally took effect on 9 October 2019 and was last updated on July 11, 2026.

Cookies are small text values stored by your browser and sent with applicable web requests. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can retain a value in your browser without sending it automatically with every request. We use these technologies for the functions described below.

Cookies and browser storage we use

Verification cookie

During web verification, we may set a first-party identifier cookie for up to 400 days. AuthenticateMe uses the identifier to compare verification activity for alternative-account and ban-evasion checks where enabled. AuthenticateMe does not use this identifier to advertise to you or track your activity on unrelated websites.

Dashboard browser storage

The server dashboard stores an authentication token in browser local storage rather than a cookie. Its corresponding server-side session expires after one hour and is renewed when the token is successfully validated. The browser token is removed when you log out or when validation fails.

Third-party technologies

Some pages load third-party scripts that may receive standard web information directly from your browser, including your IP address, browser or device details, page URL and query parameters, referrer, interactions, cookies, and other online identifiers. We do not intentionally send stored verification outcomes, email addresses, or stored fingerprint records to these providers through the integrations described below. Separately, network-analysis, email-validation, and fraud-detection providers may process limited verification inputs, such as an IP address, email address, or browser and device signals, on our behalf during web verification. These providers are described further on our Data Collection page.

Google Analytics and Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand website usage and manage measurement technologies. Depending on your region, browser settings, and applicable consent requirements, these services may use cookies or similar identifiers to process information such as pages visited, interactions, approximate location, device details, and visit duration.

Google AdSense

Some pages use Google AdSense to display and measure advertising. Depending on your region, browser settings, and applicable consent requirements, Google may use advertising cookies or similar identifiers to select ads, measure performance, prevent abuse, and limit how often an ad is shown.

Google Translate

The translation control in our footer loads Google Translate. Google may receive standard request information and may use cookies or browser storage to provide translation and remember language-related preferences.

Controlling cookies

Blocking the verification identifier may prevent cookie-based security checks from working as intended. Clearing dashboard local storage signs you out of the dashboard. Blocking third-party cookies or scripts may affect analytics, advertising, translation, or ad-supported verification pages.
